Where do our “Generic Strategies” combine with our social nature?

22 Sep

The term “generic strategy”

Generic strategy” in the true sense and essence of it, is very much part and parcel of our everyday life and has a life and purpose of its own. Just like fire it gives energy off and fuels what is to come.

“Generic strategy” is that significant and pivotal to our existence, it is the “carbon atom”, of strategy.

So-much-so that it is hardwired into our DNA – it is our very own human operating “software”, if that makes better sense – it is strategy operating at the core, making us fit for survival and co-existing. Without it we would have acted purely instinctive, animalistic even some believe.

The popular Porter model by the same name, generic strategy, is not in discussion here.

No, the term “generic strategy” embraces everything strategic, human, and instinctive; allow me a few minutes to explain, it does not only infer an exclusive one model definition.  Strategy as a rule simply cannot exist if not for generic strategy existing originally.

To explain this statement, we need to start with linguistics first and then build up the concept.

All strategic concepts are defined by “CAPS”:

A. Concepts,

B. Attributes,

C. Perceptions,

D. Systems.

  1. In this instance the concept is referred to as “generic”

Starting off and borrowing from the Latin here; the word “Generic” infers “genus”, to mean a kind or species, otherwise when translated into the English, we get something of a general occurrence/ application -having a wide or general application then – also when used in conjunction with explaining behavior, it means to explain common exhibited traits very specific to a group or a class of people, species, clan or society, describing their nature, (as a basic mannerism) or a way of dealing with things.

“Strategy” (and still going with the Latin), implies; doing things with intent, having intention or having a purpose or plan.

“Generic Strategy” then implies; the manner in which people traditionally (generally) do things – intentionally (or purposefully by implication culturally or habitually).

B. Where does Generic strategy come from, and what informs it – the Attributes?

This question points to several sources that inform generic strategy, however the main ones are;

  1. Our biological makeup and inter connectednes
  2. Our aggressive nature; this is why we are the apex species
  3. Balancing out on the physical and psychological stages of existence
  4. Prevailing circumstances, both internal as well as external dictate our nature too
  5. Our biases and perceptions are informed both by our nature and nurture

 1. Our biological makeup and inter connectedness has something to do with it;

Generic strategy informs and forms every integral part of a greater “biological connectedness”, to understand this aspect we need to look at a process that involves and exhibits three primary traits, most commonly observed across animal species and other species too, however here we will observe three prominent generic phases, that are replicated across the spectrum, in the life cycle of living things namely: their will to survive, their ability to evolve and their capability to adapt to continue living as a species…

  • Survival; on the premise of only the fittest will survive, from the minute of its inception, all living things have one common goal, its purpose is to become mature, and self-sufficient, as fast as possible, this is the path of all things living. Then to evolve, and learn all the skills of the species and clan, to get to puberty phases and then onto to become autonomous – evolved to its full adult state.
  • Evolution; is a process of natural growth, learning and formulation of generic strategies that benefit the individual and the species in its evolution and thus also in successful adaptation within the habitat, once mastered then the next step of procreation comes along; finding a mate and restarting the generic process or the cycle of life…
  • Procreation; is fixing the fit, replacing the dead, to re- fit the local habitat, having the right numbers is also a survival requirement, not too little nor too much. Always a balance needs to exist between male and female and between what the habitats can support…this becomes the blue print, the basics, and the generic strategy of all the species in that habitat, everything affects everything else and the total balance. This is the generic system of life.

Then, the way we are “wired” also sets the tone for all our future strategic interactions with our own species and all other…

C.  The perception creators

  • The Generic Strategy – is our standard universal strategy for all things living; we all exhibit common traits, we observe in all species certain levels of competitive and survival behavior, that informs on specific aspects of our ingrained traits, abilities and skills, this also forms our personality or character.  It does not stop there either, it is even a family trait, or regional, or ethnic trait that we may have, due to our generic roots.
  • As a species, the next step is to exploit and utilize our habitat to its fullest potential and in that pursuit also master the skills required to do so, both effectively as well as efficiently, to boost the importance of the self in the tribe, giving form to the generic strategy,
  • of which its main purpose is; namely to survive, evolve (adapt) and multiply.  This aspect becomes the driver for the species, which in turn uses more complex forms of strategy to ascertain its higher order goals.
  • By exhibiting and developing these attributes, we see further attributes evolve in turn to compliment the first set, which resemble both forms of offensive and a defensive behavior, these are all part and parcel of our generic traits, all real world survival strategy, differing from species to species in intensity, and prominence. All existing and developing within the territory of their micro, and macro habitats, consequently all further influencing the formation of these traits – and the prominence of generic strategies.

Generic to a species is its competitive and survival behavior, to exploit and utilize its habitat to its fullest potential, of which the main purpose is to survive, evolve and multiply, these elements and attributes become the corner stones of generic strategy; where it is deeply rooted in the primitive brain. Generic strategy is a primitive instinctive stratagem for survival of the species.

Survival, adaption, and procreation are the first set of generic strategies we all have to master.

D. The system; our survival and consequently competitive nature dictate the terms for further utilization and the usefulness, of any advance form of strategy.

The aptitude or will to live, translates from our determination to survive, both mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, sexually, economically and spiritually, thus, in order to survive we need to create conditions that are stable, predictable and secure, to function in well that should translate to security (food security, physical, health etc.) and routine, this would dictate that we need to compete in certain instances and to live would become the extension of our will to create, work, socialise and especially dominate; we dominate via several domains; the physical, mental, spiritual, sexual, economically, emotional/psychological, forcefully, status/designation, expertise…to name but a few.

2.  We triumph with our aggressive nature; this is why we are the apex species

Aggression becomes a required and both essential part of all generic strategies as they have roots in the primitive and instinctive mind; aggression – although it has many negative connotations, and raises alarm bells is also very useful to our full and balanced total development, in that it starts with us experiencing competition first hand as early on as with siblings and then others too, which progress from the early infant stages into competition for affection, food and later on for a higher order things.

As a spin off, ensuring peace and order in the family structure, because aggression, establishes natural hierarchies – father, mother, older siblings to younger – and other boundary’s – it defines structure, a framework of reference, it points to what is allowed and what not – and divisions – you can do this on the field, but not with your younger brother – for us, this aspect gives us security and boundaries that grounds us.

This could explain why we also introduce sport and games and other physical activity that channels our use of aggression (not necessarily driven by raw testosterone), rather skill and mental strength too… this serves many purposes.

Since most of what translates into “aggression” – is fired off by our imprinted competitive nature and then only our chemical brain, or our instincts switching us to high alert when the blood flows with adrenaline and testosterone, it is therefore also “impossible to believe that there could have ever been a society without strife and competition, without aggression, if we surrender our aggression we will change the being of the species, we are very complex in our makeup indeed, aggression is in all our facets of existence, the physical, chemical, natural, sexual and emotional, they are all inter connected and required.

Moreover, aggression is not all negative (not as many would like to label it). From childhood it becomes a catalyst, a drive toward the eventual development of our independence – and character development – from teenager to young adults, before ushering us into the eventual customary separation from the parents.

Aggression becomes a means by which people establish their own identity in groups, self-worth and gain a sense of purpose and belonging in a competitive society.

Forming a required adult personality – or that ideal identity – requires opposition, strife and friction, all with one aim, to shape and polish a mind, our character, that are like diamonds in the rough so to speak, which is only fully manifested through the introduction and experiences right throughout life, with both passive and active forms of aggression.

So that we may learn early on that aggression does not solve all our problems, it may even create them; where interdependence is the middle path to pursue…

The negative effect of aggression is due to confusion – not knowing what to do with it, who we are, what we stand for and against, a life without purpose and clear definition.  It then becomes confusion between role and function, where importance and purpose gets mixed up and on-going hostility or hatred in the living and or work environment exist, then aggression is mostly suppressed and then translates into frustration – that explodes at the wrong time and place – anxiety, depression and addiction are a few symptoms of this manifestation.

Also between role confusion with poor socialization… the process in which people, especially children, learns to behave in a way that is accepted by society, cannot be forged if not with the fire of aggression and the cold of solitude and punishment. We need both extremes, to create a balanced individual.

Aggression is the number one survival tool, such aggressive hostility is reduced by encouraging competition (to drain it off), to form a sense of self control, belonging and purpose, as well as worth, or finding creative ways of releasing this energy, thus preventing aggression from turning into, sadism,  hate, etc. – and subsequently other forms of violence and criminal behavior.

It is believed that “aggressive” societies have higher rates of population, than none aggressive, they are also more industrious, structured, intelligent and disciplined. However this is very hard to prove, as society is not homo-genetic; implying that they are having the same characteristics and ancestors.

The point is; aggression is here to stay, we are the only species that have no inter-species desire for our genetic inheritance, our biological and physiological constitution and chemical as well as neurological state and our psychology, all gets affected, and affects us.

The sources of our aggression lie within us; other species have developed a number of mechanisms for redirecting or inhibiting intraspecific aggression. With ritualized fighting in which no animal is really hurt, that drains off aggression, and submissive behavior can block it. Predatory creatures, especially, with their ability to kill easily, have developed their own rituals, hierarchy and inhibitions limiting and formalizing intraspecific aggression.

Humans, however, have not succeeded thus far in developing any such a protective mechanism.

The extent and usefulness of aggression

Domination is an extension of generic strategy fueled by aggression; to a certain extent it becomes an ongoing directed process that is very prominent in all mammals, we see all animals playing aggressive and especially during mating season, then it becomes very prominent.

This very aspect of dominance gives form to our own competitive nature, that precipitates planning, scheming, partnering, joining, fighting, competing etc… the point is we are compelled to act “aggressively” (this also implies anything from being verbally assertive all the way to physically violent, also exhibiting determination, energy, and initiative) …in any one of several ways, just to survive and get ahead in the “tribe”.

We all act with a view on delivering of our own objectives, needs, wants and desires firstly, that originated as a generic strategy in the first instance, we all have a need or a want, something that exists, that drives us, that gets entertained with “action plans’ and schemes daily. We are programmed to be self-actualizing/promoting, to the point of being self-centered…and selfish.

We live to satisfy the needs and wants of the self first

Plans are then developed in this fashion to serve the “self”, and become more complex as our needs become second to our wants, its progressive, for instance, as we start off in life with generic strategies as infants – we develop the basics – as “tactics”, crying when hungry, then as we grow older, we plan, we manipulate in order get that new Ipad and as we grow (into mature adults), so too do we develop more and more strategies that transform own and other objectives into proper strategies.

As our generic strategies keep evolving to further our aims and goals, to the extent of becoming very complex, we start “engineering” by incorporating aspects and principles; either of business, engineering, finance, factionalizing, of whatever nature, and by combining it with critical thinking, then it too gets a life of its own and becomes a guiding philosophy of ideas, that will/ or should deliver a very specific result.

If done right, this aspect – the ability to reconcile all our wants as a collective – above our own needs and desires -, to achieve one worthwhile common communicated goal – allows an organization for instance to achieve its objectives.

Strategy in this context becomes a means developing from a basic premise, a way to get what you want, by having learned how to get things done by involving others. Only by having considered its own capabilities, constraints, strengths and weakness first as an individual, then a species, then a clan, all in relation to the environment and competing forces and elements in which it operates in daily – can any strategy in the main become a balancing exercise, of effectively utilizing our talents, traits and means as well as resource’s in striving to achieve our objectives.

Where own expectations versus contemplated results are fused in a process of mental gymnastics, where we cut out definite and perceived risk and reduce purposefully any potential waste. Then it becomes a true strategy…no longer just a generic one.

The revolutionary mind has a tendency to fight any conformity, especially to generic systems they seek more and more potentially progressive systems, where all things living has a generic strategy that guides his existence and as they evolve as a species, become more intelligent, so too do they evolve their generic strategy into more complicated intelligent strategic intents. Implying, that they become more strategic in their approaches in dealing with everyday problems, to the extent that everyone learns and then masters the skill, it would the consequently become a generic strategy.

The thing with generic strategy

Generic strategy can be learned, implied, assumed and or genetically passed on…some believe.

Opposed stand the anti – revolutionary mind too, they don’t like this keeping with a system idea, be it right or wrong, we have two opposition’s in mind set, the one is dealing with life from the offensive the other the defensive perspective, however they both rely on generic strategy, as a catalyst to their own needs and wants getting fulfilled and we never teach this aspects to compliment strategy. We all start off from the same premise – natural, naïve empty, and consequently neutral point, whereas, we could start strategy, either from the “positive” or “negative” generic mindset.

If we understand that life is two parts, one for and the other against, one positive one negative, then we will better understand the complexity of developing strategy I believe.

Our educational institutions, can ill-afford to turn out 100% mavericks, innovators, and revolutionists, there will just be thinkers and talkers, and no doers, no, they need more conformists, and fewer “anarchists”.

The truly strategic minded focuses narrowly and thinks critically on these origins of strategy.

So let’s start afresh and look at this critically

The term generic strategy implies a great deal more than just a universal observable academic study of human behavior in every direction, very few truly brilliant principles exist in the human species in dealing with problems, mostly social, without having used strategy, it is in fact a strategy that exist at all tiers of society, stretching globally, amongst all species, like cement between bricks, called generic strategy that connects us all strategically.

Specifically aimed at blending and binding all other people and their strategies, by connecting them, it is a universal connective strategy, its aim is to blend the internal as well as external environment; in its totality with everything living, right to the other side of the spectrum, where it be political and both economic agendas with one and the other and to connect them with the rest of the “social landscape” and thereby society.

It is not a Master strategy; it is a “social template”, therefore it deals with culture, the environment its people, and their “politics”, to this end, it becomes tradition, society uses generic strategies to achieve their aims with… it could also be called fundamental truths or principles, or rules of engagement. Certain fundamental truths exist as a collective guide for all to create.

A thing seen as pessimism founded on someone’s reflection of a belief only, could become optimism founded on the courage to change the way we think and think of other people, called perception, by changing the way we see, so let’s see how we are going to get into it.

Why do I say this, for starters – generic strategy does not exist in a vacuum, or in a free falling state, Far from it, it connects everything with everything else, as it comes into existence, it grows in significance and dimension; otherwise it’s just a plan.

3.It’s furthermore the culmination of aspects influencing change, two principles, balancing out on the physical and psychological stages of existence.

  • Where in the physical dimension; our mental and material states both gets eroded when we as humans change our minds natural manner of working, to fit in with a perception of what is normal and acceptable due to continuous processing of the environment, with the effect, that it will gradual over time, start wearing away the will to fight and the powers of resistance, this is done by persistent attacks on our constitution, this wears us down, alternatively we become more resilient in thinking, the mind has two states, positive and negative – it deals with the effect of time and how time and things change with time, from its initial state.
  • So to the physical state of things change too; where material gives way to wear and tear, changes, evolution, invention, new ideas, and environmental impact, climate, etc.
  • while the psychological; focuses on the parameters of things existing; starting with the clashing of will, how far are you willing to go, to what ends, extent and means and how strong is your will to follow through on it, how solid your perception, is it negative or positive.
  • The psychological and physical build-up, to an escalation of force before the fight. It starts with two individuals, then two sides forming, and then two streams of ideology, one opposing the other, following with positive and negative.
  • Your own centre of gravity; whilst physical and psychological are competing also; in cycles of change and is effected by the gravity of the situation – its seriousness. You may have the physical, but lack the psychological strength to win in a battle and vice – verse.
  • The fulcrum point emerges; where the more compelling or serious the event becomes and it then splits society, on issues at hand, then the more people will rally to support or oppose it… we are truly two types of humans, not just male and female, but light and dark, positive and negative, radical versus engineering. Thus the division will become clearer, we polarize around ideas or perceptions of how we see reality and where we fit.

4. Prevailing circumstances, both internal as well as external

Therefore, a true generic strategy by definition; is informed and comprises of prevailing beliefs too, our own belief systems, and programming dictates and informs; either a culmination of situations occurring, or anything commonly affecting society as it’s exist currently.

Society with its biases and ideas are directly impacting, thereby informing on the cultural identity, in other words it is actively busy changing it, by changing old (commonly held) beliefs, as well as politics practiced (splitting the parties that held political power), migrating to a new direction, or several new directions, its departure, its aim, is to re-shape and inform the current landscape, and further change it actively and purposefully; thus it migrates beliefs to become new social and political acceptable and practiced paradigms, from what is current and prevailing to new, so that strategy can be interpreted against these new norms and beliefs.

For instance;  if we are in a state of war, then society will display very specific behavior and hold certain perceptions that are informed by current affairs and circumstance, this then becomes a fulcrum in all social circles, the homocentric point – through which we create a unifying generic outlook for all strategies to evolve from, a very specific perception that informs the social order of things on the best course of action, for at this stage of life, war is seen as the chaos factor and from it emerges new ideas, at this point in time then, any strategy that will follow, connects to the prevailing social and political state that the environment finds itself in. We are all connected at one point, at some point, somewhere…

The point is society changes as the situation and current state of affairs change; our core behavior is always societal – we see how human nature changes from venue to venue, from situation to situation, like in war, people pull together, to rebuild the basics of society, after war, disasters, it too then change the total landscape of beliefs, it takes place through fresh social interactions shaping beliefs, paradigms and perceptions.

5. Our biases and perceptions are informed both by our nature and nurture as well

What do they all have in common and where would you slot yourself?

When we talk about our nature and our nurture, we are contemplating how much of our existence is dictated by our genetic material, and then our environment, as well as learnt. Then Nature is that which is inherited or genetic, whereas our nurture then refers to all our environmental influences, after conception.

Well if you strategically combine the nature and nurture elements, you get what is only defined as a “Social firestorm”; these elements are responsible for our bias creation and perception management, that impact and effect changes in the social order of the individual; the family, the community and then the country. It also then creates a context, a framework; ring-fencing our ideas for us, in the way people see things to exist, thus in effect shaping a political ideology.

This is also further influenced and informed by our “cognitive bias” or our intellectual prejudice – more on this later.

The point to be made at this junction is; we are hurled into a world not of our own making, we are daily forced to comply, adopt and adapt things we don’t like, or care much for, with absolutely no say, in pretty much anything. You had no say in; who our parents will be, what language, gender, body shape, mental aptitude, personality or appearance we will have…

The main cognitive influencer, that paints our ultimate “cognitive bias” – or reality for us, could be seen in perception. We are living out a mental world of thoughts, ideas, strategy, thus perception…

Perceptions; relate to an attitude or understanding based on what is observed or thought – IE. Observed; a news report that could altered the public’s perception on some issue… perceptions create patterns for thinking, the ability to notice, form an opinion, be aware, and have insight or discern things that escape the notice of most people. Then there is something called a bias…

Bias; relates to; the way people label things, to understand them better and to put them into the context, to give perceptions polarity, towards a positive or negative polarity; as good or bad, fair or unfair, right or wrong, the way we get divided into opposing views and camps, based on an/ our principle of unfair/ fair preference for or dislike/ like of something. Bias is very powerful agents; they can shape, deform, build, and destroy any principle…

Principles; Are fundamental truths generally observed and practiced in a general social manner, or a position that serves as the premise for a system of beliefs and behavior to function with.

A rule or belief governing one’s personal behavior – sets a standard to live by. “Thou shalt not kill”.

  • We learn to become social by learning empathy – understanding but not necessarily feeling and sympathy – feeling but not necessarily understanding, people’s pain, loss, love, frustration etc., both are required principles for social interaction, to form associative behavior models, if we fail at empathy and or sympathy we will be debilitated socially.

Someone once described these aspects as being all “SOCIENTAL”…

The sociental impact of generic strategy

By insinuation it relates to how society’s changes their personal “laws”, principles, beliefs to suit a current reality, (mostly political).

We do this by simply changing the parameters of our generic strategy’s, through which our social interaction is governed, we evolve with each other and are governed by changing standards, norms and ethics that exist, or that use to exist, now it gets a tail, we live past, now and present. In addition with all this bias changing or being challenged daily we also evolve our thinking. Thereby new perceptions are formed and so too the cycle of change keeps going on, between applying liberal and or conservative thinking, all in a pursuit for meaning and order…

This aspect is balanced off against the needs and wants of a golden triangle of human existence; where the body – our biological state, directly affects our minds, with chemicals, that in turn affects our psychological, how we feel and then the cognitive state, ultimately our behavior – our reasoning and actions, combined become a complex wonder of cycles reoccurring.

Where everyone is programmed to think and follow in one specific train of thought that then becomes a main stream ideology and overtime a “pop culture” ,a political view takes formation… it’s a generic model that can be duplicated over and over, in all walks of life and sectors of society.

What we talk about – comes about, it occur as a thought in the mind, then it becomes a principle … and most principles are there to inform us on social trends, empathies, sympathies and things, both good and bad.

Principles deal with all these aspects that impact our sociology in detail.

It sets standards from which models start evolving for social interaction; starting with the bias modelling and bias imprinting of specific types of thinking, that lead to or should generate more of same, by simply describing things as they should exist in the present in a slightly different manner from what they will or should be from the past or current situation, or from the way that they existed in the past. That then renders a slightly newer model leaning towards the left or right of the political influence. With the result, that we now shape people, by shaping their bias in this fashion, as we aim to move people towards a very specific goal, we also inadvertently shape their bias, principles, and perceptions.

Now plain thinking

Our ability to think is being targeted. “Thinking” has become a modern day weapon to wage all kinds of war with, you can either get people to think on it, or act on it, act also implies negative, not acting, or counter acting, its psychological war with a brilliant master strategy, a strategy within a strategy in today’s world of serving neo agendas in a global context.

It is then very important to understand generic strategy and its significance in our social society…

Its “big brother” against the rest, its power against free will, its empires against people and its big money in exchange for slaves…information, knowledge has become power, its total domination, its competition, it’s all back to generic strategy.

Some believe the only answer to defending or defeating against this superiority – is not in our numerical supremacy or otherwise – but in maintaining and propagating greater mobility in all aspects of mind, thinking and strategy.

By manipulating any one of the three components of thinking, in the golden triangle, you can manipulate the final outcome of all people’s thoughts;

  1. By targeting – the body – the chemical biological entity
  2. The mind – the rational and thinking entity
  3. Or the behavior – the acting and moving entity

If you attack the human at any one or more of these pillars of existence, then you are targeting our ability to think mainly, think strategic and think critical, think survival, they want us to revert to a minimalist mind-sets, the most primitive of existence, if we don’t have to compete, then we will in time loose our ability to act, our aggressive nature will be lost, so to our will to compete will over time diminished, to be athletes, our bodies will “morth” into obese fat figures resembling the “herd”(of cows or sheep), no longer a predator mind-set, sleek, alert and vigilant, no, or bodies and appearance will change, our generic strategies will in time totally dissolve and disappear too and in this fashion, our total ability to think and act, will be reduced to basic functions and instincts only.

We will just exist for the slaughter or other use… it is only our ability to think, that made us the apex species, nothing else, remove that and we will plummet back to the bottom of the food chain.

Our mental or cognitive superiority defines us, it gives us the generic ability to out think, out smart, and out manoeuvre…

This also gives all our generic strategies the best possible chance of succeeding; we do this with strategy as well. However, at what cost, this is also the point where we start competing with others, for space, resources, favor, etc.

The Self-serving social nature

This aspect leads us challenging the rules and ethos of society, the ego is competing with society and with bias. Our thinking becomes central to our own ideas, we take certain things for granted in some instances and not so in other, as we have to, to be right, and know the truth. We trust family and suspect strangers.

We are constantly competing, with a self-serving agenda, in both a negative and positive fashion; it’s our way of doing things with people, we measure, we size each other up, we push and pull, we manipulate, we dominate, in one instance we are humble in the next we are forceful, then sensitive, and then totally indifferent, even hostile at times.

This aspect excels our development on so many levels, if not for social interaction in all its facets, our brains would simply not have developed as it did if not for our socialization. Feral children for instance have no concept of hygiene…one can only wonder what would have become of the species if we did not practice personal hygiene. The breeding of diseases, the derogation of health, and the environment would have follow and destroyed the species. We would have only acted on instinctual gratification…

Our social nature, and therefore our generic strategy is centre to our being…doing things together creates awareness of other greater “things” and spawns the awareness of self, this extends to higher order development in that fashion, to develop in the final stage a coherent individual living, “there cannot be a us, if not for me first”.

Then some things can never be accomplished alone it seems; like procreation, building of large structures to house animals, farming, etc., so we rally people to our cause, using manipulation; manipulation is a form of Nero-linguistic programming, creating a perception, a form of mind control, call it what you like, it’s happening, its real, and it’s all around us, and just by speaking we manipulate our social environment and the people in it to some extent already.

No one is ever alone, until we stand together. In a crowd we become one; of one mind, rational and in simplicity.

The full extent and diversity of an evolving generic strategy – as a subliminal strategy

All this serves one purpose; to keep us from demise some believe, we have become our own worst enemy, in order to full-fill our needs and wants, we need to act, influence and manipulate others and our surroundings well.  The lack of this knowledge will be our down fall, so those in the know want to keep us from real worthwhile knowledge too, as it is true, real knowledge is true power.

Today we see a lot of social/ generic strategy out there; it’s all manipulation; starting with advertising, promotions on TV and public events, especially in the media that are promoting a certain sectors agendas.

Especially with the global political ideology that is forming, they all promote the political flavor of the day, there are identities developing bias in pursuit of one global aim, we see it everywhere, every day and it is becoming a strategy of mind games, of subtle manipulation, brain washing and isolation – divide and rule is the main aim – and polarize your adversary’s, so that the main effort may slip through un-noticed and the agenda prevail.

Social media strategies are very carefully assembled, they serve as a good example of how subliminal mind tools work, they bombard us, like bombers in world war II did cities, with tonnes of bombs, they do it with tonnes of information daily, from all categories, and sources imaginable, entwined in all of this we find coded messages; that speak to us, that relates to the bigger picture, the ability to process all of this and filter it out is futile.

In order to fathom the full extent and diversity of generic strategy we have to imagine it as a global fluidity, an interconnectedness in unity first, like a giant spider web, we as the humans race are all connected at some point somewhere whilst still profoundly conscious of all our individual differences.

All our human attributes have the ability to connect us, like feeling and emotion; although we all suffer them, and their effects, especially on our rational thinking, we still have the ability to reconcile at some point, and make a connection. Yet they serve their own unique purpose too, as entity’s, and help too guide and move us daily…even our “own” personal generic self-guiding strategy is on auto pilot…and plugged in.

We all relate to generic strategy as it connects and communicates with emotion and feelings, the greater collective shares in generic strategy daily, it’s a polarizing energy, as if a principle of life itself…a golden mean that keeps us all connected.

Nonetheless, only where ideas become words that also “speak through us” and become seeds that others can pollinate, will still more of same germinate.

Then sometimes because of this, there is as much “disillusionment” in one sector as there are for others experiencing a true awakening moment we do not perceive all things like-minded, we remain individual vessels in this regard – even if there exist a generic strategy, we have free will, that can disconnect us from the context we live and function in.

Free will

We are all endowed with the ability of free thinking and will. Especially between the flow of written words and the ideas they suggest and their ability to satisfy those using them mentally to get the answersthere can be no real growing of awareness, if not for the fluidity of our thinking, this ability to articulate oneself clearly, if not for this, all knowledge and information required will seize to exist.

This is not a conspiracy theory post; no it is a post on aspects of reason that exist just beyond the plainly obvious, where you see not the trees from the forest, it’s about that space that exist just before the delivery of thinking, like the gaps between the trees in that forest, the air that brings life, to the visible, the means and ways available to us, that elude some, due to a lack of knowledge and awareness.

Free will has no power if not developed through thinking. Thinking in the main becomes the by-product of lots of stimuli, the likes of; learning, reading, listening, exploring, performing routine tasks, mastering skills, and studying etc. – all required, to get the brain to truly open up to thinking. However, critical thinking is the ability to think about that very thinking, one’s own and that of others – whilst someone is articulating – speaking or expressing (reading it, playing it etc.). Memory is now developed and retained.

Genes learning and memory

Genes also play a vital part in this mechanism of learning and memory that impact on how well we use generic strategies, thus also the computing of our thinking. If one of them is not working actively – say you’re not learning, or your memory is not used, then no long term memory can be formed for future use.

So if you want to be smart, you have to constantly be in the wash, be reading up, learning, and communicating deeply and seriously, on subjects that matter. We gravitate towards that which we spend time on, think about and talk about. If we keep making idol conversation and jokes, then that is all that will be stored in the long term memory…

Both learning and memory are switched on and developed only in real time, by the act of thinking critically, by implication when the brain lays down a new memory, the act of learning actually turns on the thinking or “computing” genes and the mind comes out of auto pilot. So that it can start computing, both aspects are required for the act of true thinking, and also learning new things.

It clearly displays a correlation between our “nature’s” working with our “nurture”.

We connect the dots with nature and nurture by looking at responses we would like to bring about, and to see which catalyst are most successful in this regard.

The likes of stimulus and response come from acquiring knowledge and memorizing it, then using it over and over. Our very own nature is determined by this cycle of repetition too, repeating itself, thus, by what we understand and know to be true, to be fact, to be the way… to create a deeper understanding of things, requires repetition too. If we hear we are the “bravest of men”, over and over and over, we come to that acceptance for example, especially in a multiplicity, because everyone is affirming it, creating such a social strategy then is to understand its creator’s aims, principles and agenda and to understand social fluidity in society.

Insights from master strategist on the current dilemmas we are starring in the face

Generic Strategy does not have to overcome resistance; except from natural aspects. Its purpose is to diminish the possibility of resistance by others and it seeks to fulfill this purpose by exploiting the elements of movement and surprise – thereby keeping the emphasis on mobility and keeping the initiative.

Going through the processing of the strategic-landscape and linking the next aspect of strategy faster, with the awareness, and with the use of tactics, thereby expediting faster than your opponent is a character trait of predators, they use speed, mobility, rapidity and discipline, when combined with aggression and maneuvering in cycles, it becomes a “hunt”. Very few of us still have these traits…

Our ability to use; speed, rapidity, camouflage, deceit and maneuvering, by virtue of mental superior processing and reasoning, is all forms of aggression, aggression used to its maximum extent and benefit of the species and individual, combined with the powers of reasoning and also relaying on tactics, it’s all an effort to stay in the lead and keep the initiative, this is the ultimate aim of generic strategy, this is human nature at its best, this is only acquired through intellect, and understanding of the usefulness of aggression and the power of persuasion.

There has been no period in our entire existence where we were free from; wars, cruel selfish rulers, religious fanatics, crime, poverty, hunger, disease, ecological changes and social bias. We have been having it since the beginning of time. Everything threatens to destroy us, even us ourselves, we can’t live in total harmony…totally happy and productively, it just eludes us.

Our sociology is coupled to the health of the public domain and those in it – us. Especially when there is just a perceived threat, then we start acting in critical ways to attack or defend, where the opponent has a propensity to violence and could unleash it should you resist his will or not, is not the real factor, it’s the perception we have that counts?

We act on the perception of things far more readily than what we do on the facts. Whilst still following the route of the indirect approach, nothing is that simple, it is never this one sided either. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, its common, so guard against the tactics you use, as they can be used against you like wise, your strength could also become your own weakness. This requires discipline and a good grip on your cognitive bias and own perceptions.

Cognitive bias; exists where Individuals create their own “subjective social reality” from their perception of the input they receive, they rely on others to substantiate (validate) their own truth, and then they live it as the only truth, even if it hurts them, or affects them negatively. Cognitive bias gives us the generic template for human social organisation. A cognitive bias is a pattern of deviation in judgment, whereby inferences of other people and situations may be drawn in an illogical fashion and people will act contra to their own beliefs, values, norms – generic strategy and culture…

Examples of cognitive biases

  • Bandwagon effect – the tendency to do (or believe) things because many other people do (or believe) the same. Related to a group-think, peer pressure.
  • Loss aversion – the tendency for people to strongly prefer avoiding losses over acquiring gains, cannot make the transition…
  • Selective perception – the tendency for expectations to affect perception.
  • Anchoring – the tendency to rely too heavily, or “anchor,” on one trait or piece of information when making decisions

In summery – The speed of change and society is ripping our generic strategy apart

Speed can trap you, as you may miss essential warning signs… slow is fast, and fast is slow, speed and maneuverability is a skill you must learn. In some instances it’s better to take things slow, so that you can move fast again. Planning and reconnaissance, testing, and evaluating, give you time and options, having options is also a good rapid strategy.

We never just blindly storm into the fire line – just for the sake of upholding the principle of speed…and movement, we have tried to keep up with everything that is modern, politically correct and fashion, to the extent that we have lost track of being normal, decent and acting on cultural values.

The most effective indirect approach is also one that lures or startles the opponent into making a false move, so that, as moves he breaks “his cover, loses his balance and sticks out a limb, his own effort is turned into the lever of his own overthrow”– Sir Basil H. Liddel-Hart.

He carries on saying; “the downfall of civilized states tends to come not from the direct assaults of foes, but from internal decay combined with the consequences of exhaustion in war”. Sir Basil H. Liddel-Hart.

It is thus more potent, as well as more economical, to just disarm the enemy intellectually, thus taking away their generic structures, messing with their nature and destroying their culture, than to attempt his destruction by hard fighting, or any other means …”

With the development of our intellectual capability and cognitive bias, we have over the period of our whole human development and existence built up the species to what it is today, and in just the last 15 years, it seems that we have succeeded in reprogramming our bias and subsequently influencing the broader part of society and its resultant forms of control over our aggressive and sexual nature, to turn it against us, and our better judgement. Now when you are aggressive you are ladled as having unwanted behavior and then you are normally subdued by the “superior” – in numbers or statue.

It’s all contra our evolution

We succeeded in turning about two evolutionary factors; we placed them in opposition with one and other and as a result in imbalanced, our intellectual discipline and raw instincts are now in imbalance, we govern ourselves and society as if we are “herd animals”.

We are now all raw and instinctive again it seems nothing big on discipline or intellect like predators. We are operating in our primitive state again…totally in neutral.

After millions of years of painful development of the human intellect and its consequent progress with the formation of “civilized” culture, and the resulting norms, standards and ethics, that relate to a principle of cultural discipline.

We see something very strange and different, it seems, and there is a lot of evidence that substantiate this, that man is now moving away from his pinnacle design, from cultural discipline, back toward satisfying his own primitive instincts again.

An animal needs no intellect (or culture) if it is purely instinctive, self-serving, then it needs no evolved brain either just to survive.

Each perception we have also provides a way of seeing this world in context and every way of seeing is also a way not to see, especially the content.

By limiting of our verbal skills; we are also limiting the content, our ability to express ourselves in our native tongue, now we have to in some parts of the world at least make use of other languages, our education system is not building on our communication skills, and our social development, we destroy this required content, required to create context for us, to define us for ourselves eventually, the one requires the other, the core of human intellect resides in our ability to communicate and think culturally, this creates functionalism, the ability to exist as an entity and individual also to fit in with society resides on inherent cultural pillars.

The enemy is truly within all of us, we now can choose death, as we are free, we have democracy no longer just life, living with only the minimum detail, detail that we now choose to ignore too and no longer require. We are disconnecting from the tree of life, this is destroying us too, just by relying on our own raw animal instincts…we are in effect ripping apart our own generic strategy, thus making us default to our instinctive animalistic behavior again.

Evolution has a way of diminishing unused functions. In time, no one will mind the species degeneration, (as everything else in society has followed in this fashion already), as they too will have no brain. Soon thereafter, we will join the missing link again, until we find our way back with discipline – hopefully.

Last but not least

The importance of preserving language and culture in the generic makeup that becomes strategy is understated

Language alone gives a very definite uniqueness to our generic strategy, for in every language we find some very distinctive and truly generic attributes residing, let me explain.

The use and meaning of words for instance and what they imply, is language specific, which is otherwise abstract to other cultures and their language, words and their meaning forms an intrinsic part of each culture. Generic strategies are unmistakably tied up in the history of every culture, and so too their language use, and attribution to words. We even pass this “meaning” on from generation to generation, so that we can understand how these words shape and inform our world, society, family and the work we do. Culture alone therefore is not the only generic attribute, its ethnic language too, the elements and attributes that make it distinctive from global languages – like English, denotations and connotations. Words can have several meanings. The literal meanings, the denotation, are direct, realistic, and often found in the dictionary. Whereas, the connotation is symbolic, culturally constructed, and often influences the interpretation that comes from language, its history and creation.

Language articulates our thinking and ideas, and this is where it gets interesting, especially with the interpretation and actions that follow… If you think about it; all ideas have consequences…

If you think about it; all ideas have consequences, just one shift in ideas shifts other aspects too, we can think what we like, but not articulate it likewise, it has consequences.  Like in expressing belief, talking about religion, and criticizing someone’s, or a group’s way of life, this could spark controversy, and even conflict.

Thus it’s inevitable for peaceful collaboration and coexistence of people, friends, family and even nations on a global scale to move towards a central premise for all aspects that govern the social nature of people’s ideas, and how they may and may not express themselves socially.

Expressing yourself socially did not include discussing topics in the open and even beliefs; religion, as well as customs, almost everything that implies that you are referring to a specific people, groups, clans, class of people was considered “holy” in the past, therefore taboo to discuss, and may have to some extent only have been approached through the use of one central structure, like the church, and by having the authority or permission to do so: no one else dared to take ownership of it or violate this rule.

Now, when political alignments are sought, these matters stand in their way, in this manner they need to either disrupt or control people of a certain grouping, and or orientation, then political aspirations could be used to polarize groups, for anything else said was considered an attack on them, if you are not fore then you are against, and this point was indicative of sure strife, and in some instance sparked wars in the past…

Society as a whole is moving away from these aspects that sparks strife, and anything that has the ability to polarize people to fight, like someone running from the plague, so we stand for nothing and anything goes, especially where the normative formations of society is considered, then tradition, or traditional and even some infused superstition form the past components of that old “holy” topics that caused wars and friction between clans in the past are attacked, if discussed and attacked by groups who did not have authority, so they have instead decided that the work around for this was to start focusing on individualism rather, with established freedoms and rights of the individual as center stage for this very reason it seems, to de-polarize people now – we then invented the constitution. Now the individual has the power, and no longer the group, the individual could have the authority to have his or her own opinion and state it publicly, and it is a right now, protected by the state, to speak your mind freely, without fear… this makes groups obsolete…it’s all about independence.

Independence – If we can make every individual, a “god-man” in his own right, then they will surrender the “holy trinity” that creates community – the trinity of culture; stemming from language, religion and family values – based on the old generic strategy of society.

Breaking with tradition, this idea has had a lot of appeal globally, with some very new and even unforeseen consequences it seems. So what seemed like a great idea at the time – namely the global pursuit of the emancipation of the individual in society, had/has its own consequences. The development of human rights emerged from this pursuit, its individualism, becoming self-cultivating, lead to him coming full circle and establishing new groups of his own; the likes of civil rights movements, feminism, gay and lesbian rights groups, all to emancipate the individual even further etc…

So we prove that man is totally bias, even when independent, he just loves the sense of purpose and belonging to groups, we are all “groupies” at hart, we are social in all we are, even when we are independent we seek the comfort, affirmation and protection of the “clan”. We are still fanatical about establishing groups; on Facebook, chat rooms, blogs, fraternities, and following trends, etc.

Further to groups and language, we also have other attributes that inform the generic strategic makeup; like our physical attributes and nature, being male and female, our features, also our complexion, dress, traditions, mannerism, diets amongst many other things, that gave it form, its very uniqueness and flavor, to become a culture, stems from many attributes.

For this dismantling there is a plan too, as we can’t have any establishments anymore, we only want uniqueness, so we are striving for sameness, as culture has the effect of giving direction and purpose to its people, it creates a bias towards other cultures and their traditions, people of one culture becomes inclusive of specific attributes of culture formation, that emerges in the way they traditionally do things, practice religion, prepare food, marry, exist, etc. Most importantly create ideas, with bias and consequences…

These guiding elements of culture are all fast disappearing, the work around is tearing down the ring-fence of cultures, as we are now “interbreeding’, seeing all race and gender laws systematically eradicated, no more taboos, even religious orders are now changing their views for us, we are gods, we can do what we like, we can interrogate and interpret religion for ourselves now, be with whom we like now, do what we like, where and when, and globally we are all “brothers and sisters “now, we even dress the same.

These generic divides that use to exist, that gave formation to ethnic groups, cultures and languages, regions food likes, sexual partners, religion, dress preferences etc.; are now melting away like the polar ice caps, it seems global warming is not just a weather phenomenon, as we look closely at a few aspects like: efficiency, calcuability, predictability, affordability, uniformity and control through automation, legislation, religion, all informing the formation of new social norms…these aspects are turning us to normative ways of existing, things that we could point to for structure, to help us fit in and conform to a global structure, it informs and defines a certain global language for us, and so too a new culture, we now “see” only oneness, and we are “globally warming” up to it.

Life as we knew it- growing up – is gone, or/ and fast disappearing no matter where we happen to be right now, whether we like it or not, the old organized and normative society is imploding on itself, for the old guard is public enemy number one, driven by a massive move for collective change, all media houses, governments and their reforms and social technology media has swept us away with the speed of change, the youth and their parents share severed bonds on reality, like a tsunami that hit us, we have no idea how to navigate anymore all our beacons are gone and now we are rearranging the chaos – seemingly.

Totally different sets of social conditions exist now, like never before, that even kids have to negotiate, the universe itself is physically expanding and speeding up too and changing and as a result, sometimes even subliminal it seems like we have to adapt to survive also, life and living has become erratic, anarchic, haphazard, Laissez faire, liberal, filling us all with anxiety. As our own sense of belonging and mattering is slowly diminished, to the point where it is eradicated, leaving us with no safe “harbours” existing to gravitate too. The community and it pillars and institutions are gone…it’s everyone for himself.

Our generic strategy for social society as we knew it is in pieces; the fundamental reference points from the past are being shifted, there exist only old truths and our own history, we are no longer social, or civic, or even civilized; implying that we have a rich heritage and culture, no, we are individualizing, self-centered, becoming a generic soup, just networking on a “professional’ basis. We have moved from being civic – from being open to “our people”, our kin, to being open to all people – even connected with their duties and obligations of belonging to a community, no longer working from a scene of obligation and pride – no, we are into networking – where the private interdependent society of culture-less people are seemingly unable to exist or survive without each other, where everyone is compelled to get along – as the basis for our new global generic template. This is called civilization on a global scale, right or wrong, ideas have consequences, and consequences have significant cost, in most instances. The question is, are we willing and able to pay it?

Technology too has totally changed the way we are social. This advent is profoundly reshaping the social framework of how we feel about other cultures and connect, there exist no boundaries in the tech world, no culture, no language barriers, no religious, latterly none, all boundaries have been removed, even privacy, someone can come into your bedroom, and still be a thousand miles off, in all we have as our relationships, and how they are supposed to be structured and the rules of engagement with others, has changed, because of technology, even family and networks are structured around the use of technology now. Technology now becomes a cardinal element and component of generic strategy.

The modernization and globalization of societies have had a profound effect on all traditional generic strategies. Some predict that most languages and cultures will become extinct, everything is moving to a global realization. One currency, one language, one bank, one economy, etc. this begs the question, who is the one that will be in charge at the end of this entire one ness? But most importantly what will his agenda be?

With respects to this, cultural globalization appears a disruptive force all over, no one nation is a great country anymore, crime is rampant, so to corruption, and the levels of education and medical treatment is diving; as we see the old patterns of social behavior are undermined by the new political domination based political machine, all democracy is socialistic based, with pure liberalization as the premise and cementing it with power relations, again, ideas have consequences; emotional anxieties at the personal, group, or community levels are on the increase. We have created a highly “addictive” society, anything from; food, luxury items to medicine, sex, crime, drugs, gambling, to self-modification and mutilation – all to calm the nerves. The transition from the previous, mostly conservative political status quo to the new one is often the initiative of the power elite who control or dominate most of the world economy with a major influence by one person or group, especially by one political group over society or one nation over others, with little direct and substantial participation from that general society, in what’s going to happen and where they are going.

The media revolution and consumerism — the international media are now so persuasive and pervasive that they are eroding national cultures and traditional values; their news programs are not merely reporting events but also helping determine their course.

The global extension of market forces has been deeply disruptive for many people and communities — and has forced many more to migrate in search of a better life. The majority of migrants are in the developing countries, moving from the rural areas to the cities: by the end of this century about half the world’s people will live in cities. Added to these are millions of refugees who have been driven across national frontiers by famine, drought, war or environmental degradation.

The world is heading for uncharted waters. At the same time, many of the old institutions that guided humanity over the last 150 years seem increasingly impotent and unable. All the while, global change is speeding forwards, raising ever more complex questions, of how society will be social and civil, that few people feel confident to answer.  Ideals and aspirations are shifting rapidly, and people are building a new moral and ethical code within their new-found liberal loyalties.

We have now reached the point of an enormously large and very complex question; how to use generic strategy again, in this ever-changing politically laden world, with all its social and psychological burdens, and still find a social construct when it, in itself is still changing? Where is the start of our strategy, the generic strategy that will inform us, of the right path and direction to take coming from today, now?

Well the pointer is showing towards a greater understanding of all social things, the sociology of human societies.

Only by understanding the many ways – and the forces both internal and external – that will influence how we will be do things in a certain state of existence, only then do we see generic values appearing again. This in turn will influence the generics of all strategy and follow into aspects informing the (grand) strategies employed. We have to look at generic strategy as becoming resilient, the more things change the more they stay the same, being able to spring back quickly into shape after being bent, stretched, or squashed, this is the social nature of man, he reverts to generics, by just changing the groups purpose, and nature, it’s still a group serving him, what he desires, security, purpose and a sense of achievement…it’s not the nature of things that change as much as the shape of it…

In close take this with you

People, change people, not wars or governments as much as the people we live, work and befriend. It is truly that simple. We may unconsciously process information that influences the way they think, that in turn impacts on their culture – unintentionally – and incorporate it into ours, to facilitate mutual co-operation for instance.

Each individual has the power to change the entire culture overtime in this fashion; it does not require wars or government propaganda, we arrive into adulthood with a set of values, attitudes, and expectations that has the power to change culture. It is with our socialization we have with others those we pick-up cues and ideas from. This then becomes a sub-culture to the main first. And secondly as the conscious beliefs, prevailing attitudes and values start changing, that underpin behavior in this culture, then it too may be taken for granted that this is still culture, whereas the sub-culture is a work in progress… Subliminally we can be “forced” to change an entire culture and way of life, even values systems over time in this fashion.

Civic virtue is one such example; civic virtue is the cultivation of habits of personal living that are claimed to be important for the successful collaboration of groups and of the community. Plato, a Greek philosopher, influenced civics in the West; while Confucius, a Chinese philosopher, influenced civics in the East. Plato believed that reason and wisdom should govern, not rhetoric and persuasion. Confucius taught “personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, and justice and sincerity.” These were individuals that changed the way society functions up till today. In Plato’s time civic virtue were identified as being: civic conversation (listening to others, trying to reach an agreement, keeping yourself informed so you can have a relevant contribution), civilized behavior (decent clothing, accent, containing feelings and needs), work (people had to make a useful contribution to the society). Religion too changed from communal to civic, more focused on individual behavior instead of a communion of people.

Plato were part of a people who believed in civic virtue; the value of values, discipline, education and culture, they were mostly the educated and elite, belonging to a small majority surrounded by a sea of “barbarism”, how long before we are back here?
